1. Who We Are
FRANticc ("we", "us", "our") is a franchise discovery and research platform operated from India. We provide publicly available franchise and business data to help prospective investors make informed decisions.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only what's needed to run the platform:
- Account data: Email address and (if you sign in with Google) name and profile photo via Google OAuth.
- Contact and inquiry submissions: Name, email, phone number, and message content when you reach out or express interest in a franchise opportunity.
- Payment data: When you make a purchase, Razorpay processes your card, UPI, or net-banking details. We never see your card number. We receive and store: your email and phone number entered at checkout, the Razorpay payment ID, the order ID, the amount, and the purchase type (brand unlock or Pro subscription).
- Usage data: Page views, click patterns, scroll depth, session duration, referring URL, device type, and approximate geographic region (country / state level) collected via Google Analytics 4. Data is pseudonymised; we do not link analytics sessions to your email unless you are signed in.
- Advertising interactions: If you click a Google Ads link to reach our platform, Google attaches a click identifier (GCLID) so we can attribute conversions back to the ad that drove them. This is sent to Google Ads in aggregate.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
FRANticc uses the following cookie categories. You can accept, reject, or review these choices any time via the cookie settings banner on the site.
- Essential (always on): Authentication session tokens (Supabase), cookie-consent state, and security tokens. Without these the site cannot function.
- Analytics (opt-in): Google Analytics 4 sets
_ga, _ga_*, and related identifiers to measure aggregate site usage. These help us understand which content is useful; they do not identify you personally.
- Advertising & Remarketing (opt-in): Google Ads sets
NID, IDE, and _gcl_* cookies to measure ad-click conversions and to show you relevant FRANticc ads on other sites you visit. You can opt out at adssettings.google.com or via our cookie banner.
- Payment processing: Razorpay sets session cookies during the checkout modal to protect against fraud. These persist only during the payment window.
We use Google Consent Mode v2 — if you decline analytics or advertising cookies, no identifiers are set and Google only receives anonymous signal pings for aggregate measurement.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To respond to your inquiries and provide requested information
- To connect you with franchise brands when you express interest
- To process payments and deliver purchased content (brand unlocks, Pro access)
- To issue GST-compliant invoices for purchases
- To detect and prevent payment fraud
- To measure how our platform is used and improve it
- To measure the effectiveness of our advertising and show relevant ads
- To send occasional platform updates (only if you opt in)
5. Data About Brands
FRANticc aggregates publicly available business data about franchise brands. This includes data from public filings, published reports, and public-facing digital platforms. If you represent a brand and wish to correct, update, or remove data about your company, please contact us at brands@franticc.com.
6. Third-Party Services and Sub-Processors
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the platform. Each is bound by its own privacy policy and data-processing terms. We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
Our platform may also contain outbound links to brand websites, government portals, and public data sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database hosting with Row Level Security policies, HMAC-signed payment verification, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Data Retention
- Purchase records and invoices: Retained for 7 years to comply with Indian tax laws (Income Tax Act, GST Act).
- Franchise inquiries: Retained for 2 years so brands can follow up; deleted on request.
- Analytics data: Retained for 14 months (the GA4 default) and then automatically purged.
- Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data
- Withdraw consent for analytics, advertising, or marketing communications at any time — via the cookie-settings banner on our site, or by emailing compliance@franticc.com
- Opt out of Google's personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (for example, the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023)
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes (for example, new data-processing activities) will be flagged with a banner on the site.
